Denver RiNo Breweries

Beryl’s Beer Co.

Address: 3120 Blake St, Denver, CO 80205

The brewers at Beryl’s Beer Co. love craft beer, but they aren’t ready to settle for anything boring. It’s their mission to take traditional recipes, and then figure out how to add unique twists to them so the results are even more flavorful than before. As the brewery puts it, they love to elevate the beer to new flavors.

The place itself has the feel of an old warehouse, and they often host events there. Various food trucks stop by, so you’ll be able to use the unexpected flavors in the beer to wash down some tasty treats!

Black Shirt Brewing Co.

Address: 3719 Walnut St, Denver, CO 80205

This small-batch brewery is best known for being connected to music. But make no mistake, they take great pride in the beer that they make. They’re obsessed with making sure that it’s perfectly balanced, but not at the expense of sacrificing any quality or taste. It’s just an added benefit that there’s a good chance a concert will be happening when you stop by.

Crooked Stave

Address: 3350 Brighton Blvd, Denver, CO 80216

This brewery is inside of The Source (an industrial building turned into a marketplace for artisans), so you already know it has a great vibe.  They mostly turn to old-time beer recipes, and their specialty is testing out the more unique ones. It’s one of the best options in the country for trying sour beers, barrel-aged brews, and other rare types.

Epic Brewing Company

Address: 3001 Walnut St, Denver, CO 80205

This brewery has quite the story. They started in Salt Lake City, and they focused on making small batches of artisanal beer, but they started to feel limited by the strict laws regarding alcohol in Utah. Naturally, they expanded their operations to the nearby capital of beer, and they love brewing away strong ales, as well as experimenting with barrel-aged and sour beers.

Great Divide Brewing Company

Address: 2201 Arapahoe St, Denver, CO 80205

Let’s face it, if you’re a fan of delicious beer, then you’ve heard of Great Divide. Dating back to 1994, this is one of the oldest craft breweries in Denver, and it’s no mistake that it’s lasted so long. Their list of awards is long, and it includes quite a few from the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup. When you’re drinking their beers, you’re supporting a company that cares about the environment and wants to give back to the local community.

Mockery Brewing Company

Address: 3501 Delgany St, Denver, CO 80216

The name may sound like they’re making fun of beer, but that couldn’t be less true. They joke that the only thing they take seriously is beer, and you can taste it in the quality of every brew they make. The tastiest part of their philosophy is that they refuse to follow rules of how different types of beer should be, and they instead make every beer in a way that will be the most enjoyable.

Our Mutual Friend Brewing Company

Address: 2810 Larimer St. Denver, CO 80205

This award-winning brewery has a taproom for visitors to hang out in, and you’ll realize that it’s a great place to relax and socialize. For proof, just look at the name! It’s their philosophy that beer is capable of being that mutual friend who brings people together.

They keep the selection low, but they do it to ensure that they have as many local ingredients as possible. Most of the grains come from Colorado, and they roast them themselves. Also, a lot of the hops and other ingredients they use are grown by Colorado farms. You’ll taste the difference.

Ratio Beer Works

Address: 2920 Larimer Street, Denver, CO 80205

The first passion in the lives of these brewers was punk music, and they’ve carried over all the skills learned touring, playing music, and seeing the business behind it. This doesn’t mean they haven’t made an effort to learn beer (they’ve worked with masters in Germany and Colorado), but it does mean that various artistic endeavors will be common around the brewery.

Zephyr Brewing Company

Address: 1421 26th St, Denver, CO 80205

This nice brew spot has plenty of space, inside and out, for drinkers to relax. Plus, being close to Coors Field went to their heads, so they made sure to have plenty of board games for you to take part in friendly competition. They even encourage you to bring your dog!
