Rino Supply Community Engagement Plan
How does your organization plan to create positive impacts in the neighborhood where the licensed premises are located?
Rino Supply Company is a steward of the Colorado community. Since 2009 Rino Supply has been active in positively engaging and providing resources to the River North Art District, Greater Five Points neighborhood and surrounding Denver communities. Rino Supply creates economic stimulus on a day-to-day basis for neighboring food, beverage, retail and entertainment establishments. As a sponsor organization, Rino Supply organizes a holiday event with direct community give-back through charitable donations to Denver Police Brotherhood, Mount Saint Vincent Home, Humane Society, Food Bank of the Rockies and other not-for-profits at Rino Gives Back and Rino Cares events.
Rino Supply promotes entrepreneurialism in the local art community by commissioning local artists work and graphic design for apparel and promotional products through annual Artist Design Series, which also has a community giveback to local non-profit Birdseed Collective. Rino Supply sponsors the annual music walk & urban bazaar Final Friday in the River North community as a direct giveback to the local music scene, which also supports local artisans and independent creativity. Each Spring Rino Supply co-hosts Rino Cares: Cannabis Health & Wellness Fair; offering the neighborhood free health examinations, speaking opportunities for medical and industry experts, healthy cooking demonstrations and local artisan marketplace activations. Rino Supply hosts an annual Summer Solstice event, free to their medical patients, as a giveback to their local consumers.
In 2018 Rino Supply announced a collaborative project called “Bud4Thought”, an education-based, non-advertorial podcast and video series with the intention of educating the public at large about cannabis and supporting open and honest dialog with the community. As a tenured resident at 3100 Blake Street, Rino Supply promotes beautification of their property and pursues city resources to allow for handicap and loading zone parking to address the rising cost of transportation.
What written policies and procedures does your organization have, or plan to implement, to promote and encourage full participation in the regulated marijuana industry in order to positively impact the community?
Rino Supply Company has outlined in the employee handbook policies and procedures and active engagement practices encouraging full participation in the marijuana industry. Every single Rino Supply employee and manager maintains iComply certification to remain 100% in compliance with Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division requirements. As a pioneer in the cannabis community in Colorado, Rino Supply remains vigilante with all operations, zoning, licensing and other compliance standards as outlined by the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division.
Rino Supply is continuously transforming the way they operate to ensure the company remains on the cutting edge of best practices for positive community engagement. The written policies and procedures written into the employee handbook and terms of use on the website are updated annually or as industry standards are reorganized.
